What to bring on your vacation to Mexico
Our team at Mariachi want to share with you some useful tips, advice and recommendations to make your v acation planning easy!
A US style adaptor is necessary if you are travelling from Europe or another coutnry outside the Americas region. In Mexico the power sockets are of Type A and B. The standard voltage is 110-127 v and the standard frequency is 60 hz.
Do not forget to bring sunscreen, preferably biodegradable (for use when swimming in the cenotes or snorkelling with the whale sharks or turtles, so as not to contaminate the water) The sun is very strong and for vistors who are unaccustomed, it can be an unpleasant experience to be burnt by the Mexican sun.
Ensure you bring cash with you, either Mexican pesos or US Dollars, although you can exchange your money at a favourable rate at exchange booths (known as casa de cambio) You will also need a credit card (which are widely accepted) for example when renting car.
Do not forget to bring a small supply of medication for things like diarrhoea, abdominal pain and fever. There are plenty of pharmacies around, however, the language barrier may make it easier just to bring your own.
Be sure to bring a camera with extra memory cars, charges and spare batteries. Most hotels provide you with essential items such as towels, hair dryers and irons, but be sure to check the hotel description before unnecessarily packing those things.
Enjoy your vacation!
